Minn Kota Limited Warranty Applies To Motors Purchased Prior To July 1, 2000 (Maxxum motors only)

Johnson Outdoors Inc. warrants to the original purchaser that its Minn Kota trolling motors are free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of three (3) years from the date of purchase. Johnson Outdoors Inc. will at its option either repair or replace, free of charge, any parts found to be defective upon examination by a Minn Kota Authorized Service Center or Minn Kota’s factory service center in Mankato, MN.

This limited warranty does not apply to motors used commercially nor does it cover normal wear and tear or damage caused by accidents, abuse, alteration, modification, misuse, or improper care and maintenance. The cost of normal maintenance or replacement of parts which are not defective shall be the responsibility of the purchaser.

If purchased outside the U.S., the motor must be returned prepaid with proof of the date of purchase and serial number to any authorized Minn Kota service center in the country of purchase.

To obtain warranty service, proof of original purchase date must be presented. Additionally, any changes incurred for service calls or transportation to/from the nearest Authorized Service Center or to the factory are the responsibility of the purchaser. Warranty service can only be performed by a Minn Kota Authorized Service Center or by Minn Kota at its factory service center in Mankato, MN. Warranty service can be arranged by contacting a Minn Kota Authorized Service Center listed on the Minn Kota Web site, or by contacting the factory at 1-800-227-6433 or fax 1-800-527-4464.

NOTE: Do not return your Minn Kota motor to your retailer. Your retailer is not authorized to repair or replace this unit.

THERE ARE NO EXPRESS WARRANTIES OTHER THAN THESE LIMITED WARRANTIES. IN NO EVENT SHALL ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES (ORAL OR WRITTEN) INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE, EXTEND BEYOND THREE YEARS FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE. IN NO EVENT SHALL Johnson Outdoors Inc. BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES.

Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion of limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific rights and you may have other rights which vary from state to state.
