Minn Kota has added several new models (DeckHand Pontoon, DeckHand 25 and DeckHand 15) to its popular DeckHand series of anchor winches to provide anglers a wide range of options.

“The addition of the three new DeckHand models gives our customers more options to fit their specific needs whether they are an avid or weekend angler,” Minn Kota Manager of New Product Development Jeff Davison said. “The DeckHand 40 has been very popular since its introduction and will remain in our product line as well.”

DeckHand Pontoon

Minn Kota’s new DeckHand Pontoon is ideal for pontoon owners who have multiple uses for their boat. The quick release bracket and quick connect plug make it easy to install the winch to get ready for fishing, or to clear the deck for swimming or cruising. The special remote switch with 25-foot cord allows for operation of the DeckHand from anywhere on the boat.

DeckHand Pontoon’s anchor winch is the same as found on the DeckHand 40. It is pre-spooled with 100 feet of 800-pound test nylon rope. It has a 40-pound anchor capacity (anchor not included) and runs on a 12-volt battery. The universal davit stows the anchor horizontally to eliminate anchor swing.

The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of the DeckHand Pontoon anchor winch is $319.99.

DeckHand 25

With a 25-pound anchor capacity (anchor not included), Minn Kota’s DeckHand 25 is an excellent fit for mid-sized boats. It is pre-spooled with 60 feet of 800-pound test nylon rope and includes a remote mountable davit.

The DeckHand 25 runs on a 12-volt battery, and has a stow and deploy switch integrated into the base of the unit. The auto deploy function automatically stops the winch when the anchor touches bottom to prevent rope backlashing. The auto drift feature automatically feeds line for controlled drifting.

The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price for the DeckHand 25 is $199.99. The hole pattern for this model is compatible with older DeckHand models (DH-18, DH-20 and DH-35).

DeckHand 15

Especially designed for smaller boats, Minn Kota’s DeckHand 15 delivers a great value for the weekend angler. It comes pre-spooled with 60 feet of 800-pound test nylon rope. With a 15-pound anchor capacity (unfilled anchor included), the DeckHand 15 runs on a 12-volt battery.

The auto deploy function automatically stops the winch when the anchor touches bottom to prevent rope backlashing. The auto drift feature automatically feeds line for controlled fishing. A stow and deploy switch is integrated into the base of the unit.
