The new line of Edge bow-mount trolling motors from Minn Kota are designed to offer power, reliability and quality in a smaller, lighter package.

“The Edge motors are a high-performance trolling motor at a great value,” Minn Kota Field Promotions Manager and Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame member Sam Heaton said. “With a smaller footprint on the base of the mount, they take up less room on the bow and reduce the overall clutter. Because they’re lighter and have a Latch & Door mount design, the motor can be easily removed and stored securely.”

The all-new mount design of the Edge motor is made of highly durable, tempered marine-grade extruded aluminum. The positive rear stow latch keeps the motor secured in place when making long runs across the lake or river. And the motor’s pull grip stows securely on the shaft yoke.

“The great thing about the new Edge motors is that they have the quality, reliability and performance consumers have come to expect from any Minn Kota trolling motor. They feature cool, quiet power and an indestructible composite shaft that is guaranteed for life,” Heaton said.

Edge motors are offered with either cable steer or hand control operating systems. The foot control cable steer models feature “pull-pull” cables that offer ultra responsive steering performance. Hand control models feature Minn Kota’s popular Tilt Twist Tiller with an outboard-type grip for precise speed and steering control.

The Latch & Door mount design with soft grip knob allows for easy removal of the motor for stowing in a secure storage area after a day of fishing.

Edge motors are available in 40-, 45-, 55- and 70-pound thrust levels and come with either a Weedless Wedge or Weedless Wedge 2 prop. The Edge 70 operates on a 24-volt system; the other thrust levels use a 12-volt system. The indestructible composite shaft is stronger than stainless steel and effectively protects the trolling motor and boat from underwater obstructions. Available shaft lengths include 36, 45, 50 and 52 inches.

The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price for Edge motors range from $239.99 to $599.99 depending on shaft length, thrust level and steering system.
