Expanding its E-Drive series of electric outboard motors, Minn Kota introduces a new E-Drive Tiller outboard designed especially for anglers who fish on gas-restricted lakes.

“When we first introduced the E-Drive, we saw our primary market as pontoon owners on lakes prohibiting gasoline engines,” Minn Kota Brand Manager of New Product Development and Accessories Jeff Davison said. “We started getting requests from fisherman also seeking an electric motor as primary propulsion. The E-Drive Tiller will be an ideal electric alternative for multi-species fishing boats in the 14- to 17-foot size range.”

The E-Drive Tiller features a new clamp-on bracket that allows an angler to quickly attach or remove the outboard. The design is ideal for the angler who is swapping out a gas engine for an electric outboard whenever fishing a restricted lake.

In addition, the tiller design features tilt adjustment up to 90 degrees giving anglers the freedom to adjust the tiller to their ideal positions. And the new control head includes back-lit LCD display, power-on switch and tilt switch.

The manufacturer’s suggested retail price of the Minn Kota E-Drive Tiller is $2,499.99.
