Minn Kota & Humminbird pro staffer, Dave Rush, took a conservative game plan into the latest FLW Outdoors Event on California's Lake Oroville.  His approach was successful in netting him a win with an overall total weight of 29-pounds, 8-ounces.  His win was not a blowout by any means – he only won by 4-pounds, with only about a 1-pound spread between first place and fifth place finishers.

Rush attributed his win to his Humminbird fishfinder "My Humminbird 788, I could literally mark those fish on the bottom, and then fall back and catch them. I'd swing out wide on a point, maybe 50 to 100 yards off the bank, and I could see just blankets of fish. Then it was just a waiting game until they'd go toward the bank to feed."

Rush’s tournament boat is rigged with a Minn Kota Fortrex 101 with Universal Sonar 2, a 788 Hummminbird fishfinder on the bow and a 997c Combo Humminbird fishfinder with Side Imaging on the console.
