For the second straight year Minn Kota/Humminbird Pro Scott Koester teamed with Scott Rhodes to win the Masters Walleye Circuit (MWC) Walleye Madness event held on Lake Erie. The tournament, held near Port Clinton, Ohio, uses a unique bracketed format pitting two-man teams against each other, one group at a time. Koester, from Brookville, Ind., and Rhodes from Traverse City, Mich., caught four fish weighing 20.56 pounds in championship day to win the title. The duo collected the winner’s check for $10,000. Koester has his tournament boat rigged with a Terrova 101 trolliing motor with Universal Sonar2 and Minn Kota’s Engine Mount 101 motor. He also utilizes two Humminbird fishfinders that feature Side Imaging technology…the 1197c SI Combo and the 997c SI Combo.
