Hager City, Wis., walleye pro Scott Fairbairn has claimed the points title in the all-encompassing WalleyeFIRST “Ironman” competition. Fairbairn was one of eight pros to qualify and compete in the unique event by participating in all three pro-level circuits in 2006. They included the Professional Walleye Tour Regional Division, the PWT Super Pro Division and the FLW Walleye Tour. Fairbairn won the Ironman title by compiling the most points throughout the season while competing on all three circuits. His victory secures a prepaid entry fee into a 2007 PWT tournament and several products from participating sponsors. A member of the Minn Kota and Humminbird pro staff, Faribairn can also lay claim to the Ironman trophy signifying the top all-around walleye pro, in regards to endurance and performance, for 2006.
