Add the 2008 Bassmaster Southern Open to the list of titles won by highly successful Florida pro Peter Thilveros. The 11-time Bassmaster Classic qualifier brought in a final day weight of 26 pounds to move up from a fourth place tie to the top spot. Peter “T”, who lives just an hours drive from the St. John’s River where the event was held in Florida, earned $50,600 for the victory. The 37-year-old Thilveros is closing in on $1.75 million in career earnings.

A member of the Minn Kota and Humminbird Pro Teams, Peter T. uses a Maxxum Pro 101 with Universal Sonar 2 as well as Humminbird 997c SI Combo and 917c Combo fishfinders in tournament competition.
